St Chad's Roman Catholic School

St Chad’s, South Hill (Blackburn Road) is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary School which provides a broad and balanced education to children aged 4 plus years within the framework of the National Curriculum. St Chad’s School is situated in idyllic rural surroundings. To the South West there are views of West Lancashire to Upholland and Parbold Hill, to the North West there are magnificent views of the Fylde and on sunny days Blackpool Tower can be clearly seen. The area provides a rich source of learning opportunities – a close awareness of the changing seasons, the study of plants and animal habitats, geographical features of the landscape and the development of rural communities. The Church and surrounding villages provide an excellent stimulus for historical research. We consider that the children are privileged to grow and learn in an environment so close to nature. As a Catholic School we aim to promote the Catholic ethos in all areas of school life. We aim to educate our pupils in a truly Catholic atmosphere where Gospel values are practised as well as preached.
