The Lengthsman is employed on a part time basis tidy and clear designated areas of Whittle-le-Woods. He walks the length and breadth of the village regularly and knows all of the litter hotspots in the area. He will also check on gullies and ensure they are free of litter and leaves (especially in Autumn).

The Lengthsman does his utmost to cover all areas of the village working on a rota basis, but if you happen to notice a problem area you would like attending, then please advise the Clerk.

We can all help the Lengthsman, by taking our litter home, cleaning up after our dogs, and treating the village with respect and pride.

Fly tipping and dog fouling should be reported direct to Chorley Borough Council please.
